When my husband was asked to leave his previous memory care facility, Arden Courts accepted him with open arms. I was so relieved to know he would finally receive the care he needed. All the caregivers know him by name and give him the respect he deserves. The arrangement of the facility is perfect for dementia patients with their attractive outdoor walking areas and nicely decorated indoor spaces. Not only are the caregivers supportive, but also are the administrative staff members. Communication is key and it is exceptional. Thank you Arden Courts for giving me peace of mind.
I recommend this place for the caring staff, and the clean well-maintained facilities. My 95 year old Dad is principally looked after by the most competent Leah (Nurse/Tech) who he loves because she gives him his meds on time with a big smile. Other great staff members are Charnise (very good nurse), Luiz (very obliging maintenance guy - I have also seen him as assistant chef and who also has a gentle touch with the residents), Morgan (senior Nurse) and Tanya (Aide). There are a few more regulars who I am forgetting. Joelle exec director runs a good place because she chooses her regular staff well. Kamish at front desk with her positivity sets the right tone. Sometimes Dad is looked after by a sub/temp (when a regular staff member is out), and the difference is clear. One time my Dad fell in his room and because of the cameras in his room, staff was there right away. Because it is a memory care facility, Dad has to keep his door locked otherwise sometimes a neighbor might wander in - which would normally not be a big deal, but given good medical/hygiene protocols, that could trigger a change of bed sheets and / or a full cleaning of restroom.
I definitely have to give this facility 5 stars but it truly deserves 10. Arden Courts facilities are about families. Being at this location in New Jersey i have to say, the staff is amazing and they go above and beyond and that goes for everyone. ANTHONY AND JOELLE ARE 2 OF THE BEST AND DID I MENTION THAT THEY ARE HANDS ON WHEN IT COMES TO HELPING ON THE FLOOR? I am reminded that being human means to have a heart for everything you do. They definitely do that so is you are looking for a family home. This is definitely the one for you.
Amazing experience! My father was a new admittance and they made the admissions process as easy as could be during a time of high stress for me and my family. The head Director, the nursing staff, the aides and even the maintenance crew were outstanding in helping getting his room set up. The amount of care, compassion and most of all decency that ALL of the staff at Arden Courts show the residents is second to none. 5 STARS!
