Dov Luxury Living is a test community in Ridgewood used to try out the site. It is not a real place. The building holds 84 assisted living apartments and a separate 24 apartment memory care neighbourhood on the ground floor, with its own garden and a door that stays locked.
Apartments are studios and one bedrooms. Each one has a kitchenette, a walk in shower with a seat, and windows that open. Rent covers three meals a day, housekeeping once a week, laundry, and the activity programme.
Care staff are on site day and night, and a nurse works every day. Residents keep their own doctor if they want to. The team writes a care plan when someone moves in and reviews it every three months, or sooner if something changes.
Days are quiet but not empty. There is an art room, a small gym with a physiotherapist twice a week, a garden with raised beds, and a bus that runs to shops and appointments. Families are welcome any time and can eat with a resident for a small charge.
